Summer Spritz

Summer Spritz started from a Jelly Roll gifted to me by a family member. Though I appreciated the thoughtfulness of the gift, these fabrics didn’t fit my “style”.

Having no attachments to these tropical prints, I started to play; mixing solids from a thrifted IKEA duvet, improv piecing four-patch blocks. These four panels grew, filling in the gaps with XOXO Cotton + Steel in citron. I started to love the shapes, the regular irregularities that started to emerge.
